Ute Frevert is professor of
German history at
Yale University. She is a specialist in modern Germany, with an interest in social history. She was previously on the faculty of the
University of Berlin, the
University of Konstanz, and the
University of Bielefeld in Germany, and also the
University of Zürich in Switzerland.
Awards
Frevert received the
Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize for her historical research in 1998.
