Ullsfjord
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceUllsfjord is a former municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is also the name of a fjord (No: Ullsfjorden) east of Tromsø and west of Lyngen.
Ullsfjord (until 1938 named Sørfjord) was separated from from Lyngen January 1, 1902. The new municipality had a population of 1.139.
On January 1, 1965 the Svensby area with 171 inhabitants was reunited with Lyngen. The rest of Ullsfjord, with 2.019 inhabitants, was incorporated into Tromsø municipality.
