Tripolis (region of Africa)

Tripolis (Greek: Τρίπολις; meaning "three cities") was a district in ancient Tripolitania (an expanded area based on the Tripolis), now in Libya, along the Mediterranean between the Sabrata and Cynyps rivers, and comprising the three cities of Oea, Sabrata, and Leptis Magna.
