Trinil 2 is the fossilized upper cranium of the species Homo erectus. It was discovered in Trinil, Indonesia by Eugene Dubois in 1891.

Dubois initially classified it as Pithecanthropus erectus but it was reclassified in the 1950s by Ernst Mayr when he combined Pithecanthropus and Sinanthropus into Homo erectus. This specimen has also been known as Pithecanthropus 1.

Its characteristics are a long cranium with a Sagittal Keel and heavy browridge.
