The Scarlet Coat

in which Benedict Arnold
offered to surrender the fort at West Point
to the British in exchange for money. In the film the main character, the British Major John Andre
, is a hero to the British for his undercover exploits in arranging the deal with Arnold but a spy from the American perspective. He is pursued by an American undercover agent, Major John Boulton. After Andre is captured by the Americans, Boulton becomes a witness for Andre at the court martial leading to his execution.
In the film, Maj. Andre is played by Michael Wilding while Cornell Wilde appears as Maj. Boulton.
