Suzy Patterson is an actress best known for playing Susan Barlow in Coronation Street from 1977 to 1979 and again from 1981 to 1983.

Early life

She was born in June 1964 named Susanna Elizabeth Louisa Patterson-Scott and started acting lessons at the age of three. Her first major part on stage was as Gretal in Hansel and Gretal in 1972 aged eight.

Coronation Street

When she joined Coronation Street she became the third actress to play Susan Barlow in the soap after Katie Heannau and Wendy Jane Walker. Her character returned for her father's trial for the murder of his wife Janet which he didn't commit as she committed suicide. She left after two years on the soap but retuned for her characters father Ken wedding to Deirdre Langton in 1981 and left two years later and in 1985 her character was reclaimed by the second Susan Wendy Jane Walker who portrayed her for three following years.
