Susan Moonsie

Early life
Moonsie hailed from Minneapolis, the daughter of a conservative school teacher.Career
Moonsie was one of Prince's high school girlfriends. She became a member of Vanity 6 in 1982. Susan was given a "teenage Lolita" image by Prince, for shock value—Susan claimed she was only 16-years-old at the time. Moonsie and fellow Vanity 6 member Brenda Bennett joined Patricia "Apollonia" Kotero (after Vanity's departure from Prince) as Apollonia 6 in 1984 while filming Purple Rain.Prince is said to have written the song "When Doves Cry" about their relationship. "Private Joy" and the "Raspberry Beret" B-side "She's Always in My Hair" was also supposedly written about her.
Family
She married actor David Garfield on December 29, 1988. Garfield died on November 24, 1994, after being hit by a drunk driver.
