- The Siege of Jerusalem (597 BC) by Nebuchadrezzar II crushed a rebellion in the Kingdom of Judah and resulted in deportation of King Jehoiachin to Babylon.
- The Siege of Jerusalem (587 BC) by Nebuchadrezzar II fought pharaoh Apries's attempt to invade Judah and ended in the destruction of both the city and the First Temple and the exile of many prominent citizens to Babylon.
- The Siege of Jerusalem (70) in the year 70 by Titus, ending the Great Jewish Revolt
