Sidney Thelwall

He left Christ's College with B.A. (Class. Trip. 2nd class) 1865. Kept some terms after his first admission : readmitted 30 Sept. 1863. Admitted scholar (Rysley) 28 Oct. 1863.
Ordained deacon at Exeter in 1865: priest in 1866. Curate of St Paul, Devonport 1865-7, and Assistant-master at Plymouth Gr. School. Curate of Charles, Plymouth, 1867-74. Vicar of West Leigh, Devon 1874-92. Vicar of Radford Semele, Devon 1892-1909.
Married 1865 to Susan, daughter of Rev. S. W. Barnett, vicar of Towersey. Living (1911) at Leamington.
Translator of Tertullian in Clark's Ante-Nicene Fathers (Vols. I. and III.).
