Shoppingtown Mall - 2 reference results

Shoppingtown Mall is a regional shopping mall located in Dewitt, New York, United States. Currently, the mall features over 100 stores, with Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, Macy's and Sears serving as anchor stores. In addition, the mall features a food court and a fourteen-screen Regal Cinemas movie theater. Shoppingtown Mall is managed by Macerich, who acquired the mall from Wilmorite in 2005.

History

Opened as an open-air mall in 1954, Shoppingtown Mall one of Syracuse's first suburban shopping centers. After expanding several times in the 1960s it was enclosed in 1975 and substantially remodeled in 1991.

Shoppingtown Mall is slated for further renovation which will demolish the portion of the mall leading from Sears to Dick's. A new main entrance will be constructed where the former Old Navy store currently stands, and a new vehicle entrance will be constructed under the Dick's store.
