Shalatula is a town near the Indus river in Punjab province, Pakistan. It is close to the city of Attock (also in the Punjab) as well as being in the vicinity of Peshawar (located in the North-West Frontier Province. The famous ancient Indian grammarian Panini was born there, his brother, the famous mathematician Pingala was also born there.
