Sandra Ingerman is a psychotherapist and shamanic practitioner who teaches workshops on shamanism around the world. She has taught with Michael Harner, and was the Educational Director for the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, where she also later served on the Board of Trustees. Currently she serves on the Board of Directors of the Society for Shamanic Practitioners
Ingerman received her M.A. in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and is a licensed therapist and counselor in the state of New Mexico. She is also a board certified expert on traumatic stress and certified in acute traumatic stress management. She has written several very popular books including Soul Retrieval, Welcome Home, Shamanic Journeying and How to Heal Toxic Thoughts.
Soul Retrieval
Soul Retrieval is a process for pulling back energy that one has spent or lost. It is similar in some ways to Victor Sanchez's recapitulation technique. This method has been claimed to have been used in many forms of shamanism and Carlos Castenada wrote of a similar technique. Soul Retrieval is a widely used technique today due to the Book Soul Retrival bringing the technique to the forefront of thought in the field.Bibliography
