Salaheddin Ali Nader Angha (Persian: صلاح الدین علی نادر شاه عنقا) is presently the 42nd official and exclusive master of Maktab Tarighat Oveyssi Shahmaghsoudi (School of Islamic Sufism) in a continuous succession of Sufi masters dating back 1,400 years ago to the time of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

Birth

The only son of Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha and Mah-Talat Etemad Moghadam (Angha), and a direct decendant of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad, Nader Angha was born in Tehran, Iran, on Sunday noon, September 30, 1945, which also coincided with one of the most holiest days for Muslims, Eid al-Qurban, which celebrates the Hajj.

Appointment of Oveyssi-Shahmaghsoudi Leadership

Known to his students as Hazrat Pir, he succeeded his father, Molana-al-Moazam Hazrat Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha in 1980.

Hazrat Pir's mother, Mah-Talat Etemad Moghadam, writes the following about her son in her book "From the Prophet Mohammad to the Great Sufi Mir Ghotbeddin Mohammad, which traces the unbroken succession of the Sufi Masters in the Oveyssi order:

“In the year one thousand three hundred and forty-nine S.H. [September 4, 1970], in one of the guiding sessions held in the presence of Hazrat Shah Maghsoud, with the attendance of a great number of devotees; and with the confirmation of Benevolent Allah, he was blessed by receiving the Robe of Faqr from the hand of his father. Hazrat Shah Maghsoud, with a speech, handed over his Robe to him.”

From the date of his appointment, Hazrat Pir assumed his responsibilities in carrying on the duties entrusted to him, which included the design and supervision of the construction of the Sufi center in Sufi-Abad of Karaj (close to Tehran). Dr. Ronald Grisell, who travelled to Iran in 1983 sought and was granted permission to visit the Maktab Tarighat Oveyssi Shahmaghsoudi Oveyssi School at Sufi-Abad of Karaj. He has provided a detailed description of the center, and devoted a chapter of his book entitled “Sufism” to “The Oveyssi School of Sufism at Karaj.”

1979 marked the year that Hazrat Pir moved to the United States with his father. From there forward, he began to execute his father's wish to expand Sufi teachings to a wider audience. In a short period of time and under the direct guidance and supervision of Hazrat Shah Maghsoud, the teaching sessions started in many states of the United States. After the passing away of Hazrat Shah Maghsoud, the duty of propagating the Oveyssi-Shahmaghsoudi path of Islamic Sufism across the world rests on his shoulders.

Through his commitment to his father's wishes, the Oveyssi-Shahmaghsoudi order which he now leads has over 500,000 students who attend centers located throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia under his leadership. Henceforth, the comment made by Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha over 30 years ago has been actualized - that is:

"The domain of Vision will be extended
The manifestation of ignorance will change
The Reality of Islam will spread far and wide,
By the destined plan, by a thirty-year cycle"

Hazrat Pir has been a guest lecturer at the Sorbonne, Oxford University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, University of Georgia, and many other institutions worldwide.

Partial Bibliography

Hazrat Pir's knowledge is not limited to the esoteric disciplines and sacred sciences (Jafr [the science of letters and numbers], alchemy, etc.), but expands to other disciplines, including: physics, mathematics, astronomy, astrophysics, quantum mechanics, biophysics, philosophy, poetry, and architecture. His discourses focus on presenting the depth of the spirituality of Islam, its scientific richness, and its relevance for contemporary life. It is his conviction that unless each person's inherent goodness, talents, and abilities are developed, one cannot know the meaning of stability, security, freedom, and human dignity.

Salaheddin Ali Nader Angha is the author of over 50 books, including works of prose and poetry. A partial list of his works are listed as follows:

Inventions

Hazrat Pir has invented a device which produces Muon rays that will be used in to heal nerves and other systems in human bodies. Also, he has developed Neural Network Modeling for the therapy of many kinds of diseases. (see also: Biological neural network)
