Saddam (Arabic صدام) is an Arabic name, literally means "Someone who frequently Causes Collisions" or "powerful collider" Other meanings are "Someone who frequently Confronts", "powerful confronter" or "Someone who frequently Crashes." It could also mean "powerful commander." The best known bearer of the name was Saddam Hussein (1937-2006), former state president and prime minister of Iraq.
