Sacred band

Sacred Band can refer to one of two elite military units of the ancient world:

• the Sacred Band of Thebes
• the Sacred Band of Carthage
• the Sacred Band Cavalry

In modern Greek history, the name has been used to denote two military units:

• the Sacred Band of the Greek War of Independence
• the Sacred Band of the Second World War
