- The dorsal posterior or sacral part of an animal, as in:
- buttocks
- bird anatomy
- a cut of meat from that area, for example "Rump-Steak"
- In politics, a remnant of a larger political grouping that continues to exist after the group has formally dissolved or been abolished. See, for example:

- National Party (South Africa), a Rump party lead by DF Malan that won the 1948 elections against the United Party in South Africa
