Royal Danish Academy of Art

The Royal Danish Academy of Art (Danish: Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi) has been a parallel to the arts studies found on Danish universities for nearly 250 years.

The academy is the oldest and most renowned place of higher learning in Denmark where art and research within the theoretical and technological areas are bound together. It is significantly larger and better funded than the Jutland Art Academy and Funen Art Academy, which offer similar educations.

The main objective is to teach and research within the creative art, (painting, sculpting, graphics, photo, video etc.), and in the theoretical and cultural historical disciplines.
