Romance was nominated in 1992 for a Grammy in the category of Best Latin Pop Album, losing to Vicki Carr's Cosas del Amor. Also received a nomination for "Album of the Year" on the Eres Magazine awards held in México in 1991 (losing to Alejandra Guzmán's "Flor de Papel").
