Projection can be any of:
- The display of an image by devices such as:
- Map projection, reduces our three-dimensional planet to a flat map (Geography)
- Graphical projection, the production of a two-dimensional image of a higher-dimensional object
- Orthographic projection, including:
- Plan, or floor plan view
- Elevation, usually a 'head-on' view of an exterior
- Section, a cutaway view of the interior
- Axonometric projection, including:
- Oblique projection, and
- Perspective projection
- In chemistry, any one of:
- Projection (mathematics), any of several different types of functions, mappings, operations, or transformations
- 3D projection
- Projection (relational algebra)
- Projection (linear algebra)
- Vector projection
