President of the Executive Council
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceA President of the Executive Council is the presiding officer of an Executive Council in Commonwealth governments. The term may specifically refer to:—
- The Governor-General or Governor in Australia and New Zealand, although the actual title is not used.
- A Premier of a Canadian Province
- The President of the Executive Council of the Irish Free State (the Free State's head of government)
- The President of the Executive Yuan, otherwise known as the Premier of Taiwan.
In some cases this office was held by the Governor, e.g. Cayman Islands
and Hong Kong.
