Praevalitana
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourcePraevalitana (also Praevaliana or Prevalis) was an ancient Roman province. It included parts of present-day Montenegro, Serbia, and Albania.
History
It was formed during the reign of emperor Diocletian (284-305) from southeastern corner of the province of Dalmatia.
Cities
Capitals of Praevalitana were Scodra (Shkodër) and Doclea (Duklja). Other cities in the province included Anderva (Nikšić), Acruvium (Kotor), Risunium (Risan), Butua (Budva), etc.
