People Power Coalition

People Power Coalition (PPC) was the Philippine administration's coalition party in the May 14, 2001 midterm Legislative elections. The coalition was created after the EDSA Revolution of 2001 that ousted Joseph Estrada from the presidency on January 20. The coalition include Lakas-National Union of Christian Democrats (NUCD)-Union of Muslim Democrats of the Philippines (UMDP), Liberal Party, Nationalist People's Coalition, Aksyon Demokratiko, Nacionalista Party, PDP-LABAN, Partido ng Demokratikong Reporma-Lapiang Manggagawa (Democratic Reform Party) and some major regional and party-list political parties.

Slogan

The Coalition devised an acronym for the 12 senatorial candidates of PPC which is: VOT FOR D CHAMMP (stands for Vote for the Champ or Champion) V stands for Villar; O for Osmeña; T for Tañada; F for Flavier; O for Obet, Pagdanganan's nickname; R for Recto; D for Drilon; C for Chatto; H for Herrera; A for Arroyo; M for Magsaysay; M for Monsod and P for Pangilinan.
