Pectoral-patch Cisticola

The Pectoral-patch Cisticola (Cisticola brunnescens) is a species of bird in the Cisticolidae family. It is found in Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Kenya, Mozambique, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, and subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland.

It is sometimes considered to be two species, in which case the Pale-crowned Cisticola, Cisticola cinnamomeus is the new taxon.
