Panteón de Dolores
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceThe Panteón Civil de Dolores is a cemetery located in the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City. Numerous famous people are buried in this municipal cemetery. In particular, many national heroes and people that have achieved notable success in their lives have been honored with interment in its Rotonda de las Personas Ilustres.

- Tina Modotti (1896-1942), actress, photographer, communist
- Sebastián Lerdo de Tejada (1823-1889), President of Mexico
- Agustín Lara (1897-1970) composer
- José Clemente Orozco (1883-1949) painter, muralist
- Octavio Paz (1914-1998) poet, diplomat, Nobel Laureate
- Felipe Villanueva (1862-1893) composer
- Julián Carrillo Trujillo (1875-1965) composer, discoverer of the Thirteenth Sound
- Nabor Carrillo Flores (1911-1967) scientist
- Heberto Castillo (1928-1997) civil engineer and political activist
- Cantinflas (1911-1993), actor Pepe
- Francisco González Bocanegra (1824-1861) poet, wrote the lyrics to Mexico's national anthem
- Jaime Nunó (1824-1908) composer, composed the music for Mexico's national anthem
- Mariano Azuela (1873-1952) author, novelist of the Mexican Revolution
