Olorun
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceIn traditional Yoruba religion, Ọlọrun (Olodumare) is the Sky Father and creator of the universe. Olorun is neither male or female, but is commonly referred to as male. He is the force that created the universe, and he is the one god acknowledged by the Yorubas. The orishas, while divinities, are seen as his deputies. Therefore, they are lower than god, but higher then ancestral spirits and human beings.
Occasionally Ọlọrun is given an anthropomorphic depiction in myth, but in general this is not the case.
