Missile DATCOM is a widely used semi-empirical datasheet component build-up method for the preliminary design and analysis of missile aerodynamics and performance. It has been in continual development for over twenty years with the latest version scheduled for release in January 2006. It has been traditionally supplied free of charge by the USAF to American defence contractors. The code is considered ITAR and should not be distributed outside of the country. Dispute that this code can be export controlled. A more accurate and powerful version is available that may be downloaded publicly free of charge. That pretty much violates any export control.
