The Morning Show (Minnesota Public Radio)

The Morning Show (Minnesota Public Radio) is a morning drive-time radio program produced in St. Paul, Minnesota and broadcast on Minnesota Public Radio's KCMP. The show began as A Prairie Home Entertainment, first aired in 1969 on Minnesota Educational Radio with host Garrison Keillor. When Keillor became host of the radio variety show A Prairie Home Companion in a Saturday night time slot, the morning program was taken over by Dale Connelly and Tom Keith (as "Jim Ed Poole"), who remain its hosts. The program is known for featuring live in-studio performances by local and regional musicians, as well as nationally-known acts on tour for concerts in the Twin Cities area. Connelly and Keith also present an eclectic selection of recorded music, and funny skits they write for the program.
