Mesopotamia (Roman province)
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceMesopotamia was one of three provinces (besides Armenia and Assyria ) created by the Roman emperor Trajan in AD 116 following a successful military campaign against Parthia. The acquisitions marked the peak of expansion of the Roman Empire and were evacuated by Hadrian only two years later, in AD 118.
