Marty Natalegawa
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceDr. Raden Muliana Natalegawa, M.Phil, B.Sc, more commonly known as Marty Natalegawa, (born 22 March 1963 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia) is the Indonesian Ambassador to the United Nations since the 5th of September 2007. Marty used to be a speaker for the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
Prior to his appointment as the Indonesian Ambassador to the United Nations, Marty Natalegawa served as the Indonesian Ambassador to the United Kingdom.
Education
Dr. Natalegawa obtained a Doctor of Philosophy at the Australian National University in 1993; a Master of Philosophy at Corpus Christi College, University of Cambridge in 1985; and a BSc at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1984. He also attended the Ellesmere College and Concord College in the UK between 1976-1981
at the United Kingdom.
Early life and career
Marty, whose full name is Raden Mohammad Marty Muliana Natalegawa, is the youngest son of Sonson Natalegawa; who was a former dirctor of a state-owned bank.Prior to being the Indonesian Ambassador to the United Nations since 5th of September 2007, he was sworn in by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the Indonesian Ambassador to the United Kingdom from the 11th of November 2005 until the 5th of September 2007.

Before his assignment to be Indonesian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, he was the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and as the Director General for ASEAN Cooperation in the Department of Foreign Affairs
He has also worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia where he came into office in 1986. There, he worked in its Research and Development division.
Speaker
Dr. Natalegawa is also a prominent speaker in various societies. He has addressed the University of Oxford Asia-Pacific Society.
He was also a speaker for the University of Essex Malaysian Society. and at the University of Essex
regarding South-East Asia and its Regional Power.
Dr. Natalegawa was also the speaker in the London Metropolitan University regarding Indonesia's increasing international openness. 
He has also given a speech and was the speaker at the Cambridge University Asia Law and Business Association (CUALA) at Selwyn College, University of Cambridge.
Family life
Dr. Natalegawa is married to the thai-born Sranya, and has three children; Annisa, Anantha and Andreyka.
