.The original name for the place was Maanchale, has been sanskritised into Mantralaya. The nearest railway station is Mantralayam Road which is ten kilometres from Mantralaya. The station is on the Raichur - Bangalore railway route. Thousands of pilgrims visit Mantralaya every year. There are frequent bus services from Raichur
both in Karnataka
