Mamia Alasania
Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia - Cite This SourceMamia Alasania (მამია ალასანია) was a commanding General of the Georgian interior forces who was killed during the Sukhumi Massacre, along with Zhiuli Shartava, Guram Gabiskiria and others on September 27, 1993. Born and raised in Sukhumi, Alasania joined the Georgian forces during the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict. His son, Irakli Alasania became an envoy of the President of Georgia at the Georgian-Abkhaz talks.
