MCC Theater, previously named Manhattan Class Company, is an Off-Broadway theater company located in New York City. Since its founding in 1986, MCC has been guided by its founding Artistic Directors Robert LuPone and Bernard Telsey, and Associate Artistic Director William Cantler.

Mission

To develop and produce challenging new work for the stage and support the development of emerging young voices through a variety literary and education programs. By providing a safe environment in which to explore compelling stories, MCC encourages artists to take risks – continually stretching their boundaries and working beyond expectations.

MCC Theater believes the artist is the primary force in creating memorable theater and that each experience in the theater should be an event where artists in playwriting, acting, direction and design combine to induce an emotional reaction in the audience, getting them personally involved in the production at hand. By taking risks, MCC Theater is able to offer productions and performance opportunities to young actors and playwrights. Some of these artists and playwrights have moved on to become today's biggest and brightest talents:

PAST PRODUCTIONS include Wit (winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1999), Frozen (which moved to Broadway in 2004), Neil LaBute's Fat Pig, Some Girl(s) and In A Dark Dark House
