Loud Records is a subsidiary of SRC Records founded by Steve Rifkind in 1992.
Loud was a hip hop label which has released material by acts such as Wu-Tang Clan, Big Punisher, Mobb Deep, Krayzie Bone, The Beatnuts, M.O.P., Tha Alkaholiks, Pete Rock, Lil' Flip, Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, Xzibit, Twista, Dead Prez, The Dwellas and The X-Ecutioners. Despite this, the label released thrash metal band Megadeth's deluxe and remastered debut album Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! in 2002.
The label was shut down in 2002 and was originally distributed by RCA Records until 1999 when distribution moved over to Columbia Records - which ironically is now part of the same company as RCA Records, Sony BMG.
Rumors reports that Rifkind might buy back the label and revive the label as a sub-label of his Street Records Corporation.
