The following is a list of artists that have had 5 no.1's in the United Kingdom. The amount of no.1s which each artist/group scored can be found in brackets next to the name of that act.

Please note:

  • Although listed alphabetically, some of the same acts have appeared at No.1 under different names. For example, 'Cliff Richard' had 7 no.1s, 'Cliff Richard and The Drifters' had 1 no.1, 'Cliff Richard and the Shadows' had 6 no.1s and 'The Shadows' had 5 no.1s.

  • Many of the acts on the following list may only be backing singers, additional vocalists, guest vocalists, instrumentalists and so on, therefore they might no be credited on the main artist's records, in reference guides, web pages etc. but please don't remove them in thinking that they're not supposed to be there without firstly talking to others about it on the discussion page.
