Lester Sterling (also known as Lester "Ska" Sterling or Mr Verstile) is a Jamaican trumpet and saxophone player. A founding member of The Skatalites, he is commonly overshadowed by well-known band members such as Tommy McCook, Jackie Mittoo or Don Drummond. Sterling is one of the three original members, along with Doreen Shaffer and Lloyd Knibb, who are still a part of the band.
