Lead vocalist

The lead vocalist (or lead singer) is the member of a band who sings the main vocal portions of a song. The lead vocalist can also be playing an instrument as well. They are sometimes referred to as a frontman (or woman), and are usually considered to be the 'leader' of the groups they perform in.
