Karaikal Carnival

Karaikal Carnival a cultural fête organised by the Tourism Department, during the Pongal Festival in Karaikal. It is designed to promote tourism.

In 2007 the Carnival included sporting events, souch as a marathon, bicycle race, and Bullock cart races. Movies were show and folk music performed. There was also an air show put on by the Indian Air Force.

A song was composed by Mr. Natarajan , son of Kalaikavalar Karai Subbaiyah and was played for audience at the valedictory function.
