John Beaumont, 4th Baron Beaumont (13611396) served in the Hundred Years' War against the partisans of Pope Clement VII.

Beaumont was born in 1361 at the Duchy of Brabant to Henry Beaumont, 3rd Baron Beaumont and Margaret de Vere. His maternal grandparents were John de Vere, 7th Earl of Oxford and his wife Maud de Badlesmere.

He was Knighted by Edward III, and was Warden of the West Marches, Admiral of the North (sea), Constable of Dover Castle, and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports. He was a Knight of the Garter and was 'one of the Embassy to France to demand Princess Isabel in marriage for the King'.

In 1389 he married Catherine Everingham (1367-1428) of Laxton, Nottinghamshire, England. His daughter Elizabeth married William Botreaux, father of Margaret Botreux who married Robert Hungerford.
