Jim Lowe (born 7 May 1927, Springfield, Missouri, U.S.) and graduate of the University of Missouri, sang "The Green Door", the number-one hit song of 1956 in the United States. He later served as a disc jockey and radio host and personality, who has been considered an expert on the popular music of the 1940s and 1950s. His most notable run as a disk jockey was with WNEW AM in New York. He retired in 2004 at the age of 77, and lives in New Jersey.
