James "Jamie" Scott is a fictional character on the CW television series One Tree Hill, played by Jackson Brundage. He is the son of Nathan Scott and Haley James Scott, the nephew of Lucas Scott and the god-son of Lucas and Brooke Davis.
Fictional character biography
Jamie Scott is a smart, bright five year old boy. He lives with his parents. He is known to stand up for himself and is very intelligent. All he wants is a happy family where his mother and father get along. He enjoys playing RockBand, Wii, basketball, swimming and hanging out with his family and friends. His best friend is his bunny, Chester.
Season 3
At the end of season three, it is revealed that a baby is on the way, though who is actually pregnant, between Rachel, Brooke, and Haley, was not known yet.
Season 4
At first it seems as though Brooke is pregnant, but it's revealed to actually be Haley. This pregnancy leads to several problems for Haley and Nathan, putting Nathan on Daunte's path due to their money struggle, and having Haley end up with pre-mature contractions at the State Championship. Despite the fact that Haley is the victim of a hit-and-run by Daunte, the baby is born fine on June 4th, with Haley going into labor during her valedictorian speech. He was named James,after his mother's last name . His middle name is named after Lucas; his uncle and godfather. Haley and Nathan welcomed him by saying, "Welcome to the world, James Lucas Scott." His character has all first names.
Season 5
Now four-and-a-half years old, Jamie is a very smart kid. He suffers a lot from his father's messy state and begins to look up to Lucas as a father figure but becomes his father's inspiration to sort out his life after getting scared at a soap-box derby and the discovery of him being his hero. Still being a kid he enjoys drawing and gets closer to his nanny, he at one point calls her "momma" by accident Jamie refers to his nanny as Nanny Carrie and when she starts crushing on Nathan, Nathan pushes her away but then she gets in the shower with Nathan and Haley walks in forcing Nathan and Carrie to get out. Later that the next night when Haley is putting Jamie to bed, Jamie says to Haley that he wishes Nanny Carrie was his mom when Haley kicks Carrie out. When he begins to ask his "Uncle Skills" question about his grand-dad he finds out that Dan is in jail and begins to have nightmares but Nathan and Haley cheer him up by saying they'll protect him no matter what. During an argument between Nathan and Haley, his basketball bounces into the pool. When he tries to get it out himself, he falls in and nearly drowns before Nathan dives in and saves him. As a result, Haley asks Nathan for a divorce. Now he tries his best to keep his family together, still hurt over what happened when his father went paralyzed During Lucas's wedding he reconnects with his cousin Lily and is abducted by his former nanny but saved by Dan.
He then tries to get closer to his grand father and welcomes Deb as his new nanny. However Haley lies to him to protect him from Dan, which he takes offense from, but they reconcile when she comes clean. He then faces his fear of the pool, after nearly drowning two months earlier and encourages his father to do the same with his basketball fear.
Season 6
Season six opens with Jamie and Quentin being closer then ever. At basketball practice, Quentin teaches him some dance moves, which he continues to do through the first episode. Jamie's world is rocked with the news of Quentin's untimely death. Jamie and Haley were making Quentin a cape before he died, and never got to give it to him. Jamie is having trouble grasping the fact that Quentin is gone. Nathan, Haley, Skills, Lucas and Jamie go over to Quentin's to pay respect to his family. There, Jamie meets Quentin's little brother Brandon Andre "Dre" Fields and the two seem to become fast friends. Though Haley and Nathan do not want him to attend the funeral, he insists on going because Quentin was his friend. After the funeral when everyone is leaving, Jamie stays behind and takes out the cape he made Quentin, which is red with a big Q on it, and places it on Quentin's coffin. Brooke stays back with Jamie and watches him do this and begins to break down. Jamie grabs her hand and the two stand together in front of the coffin.
