. Manolete reached over the horns of the bull giving the swordthrust just as Islero gored him in the thigh. He died on the operating table later that evening. The Miura bull ranch, located near Seville
, Spain, dates from 1849 and is known for producing large and difficult fighting bulls that have killed more bullfighters than any other bull ranch in history.
The name has been given to a car model named the Lamborghini Islero.
