The Hotaru River is a tributary of the Olt River in Romania. It joins the Olt River near the village of Colonia Reconstrucţia.
This river should not be confused with the Hotaru River, (flowing into the Olt River approximately 7 miles downstream, near the Vadu Roşu railway station) nor the Hotaru River (flowing into the Olt River 10 miles further downstream, near the village of Măieruş), having an identical name.
