Hans Janmaat (
November 3,
1934,
Nes aan de Amstel -
June 9,
2002,
The Hague) was a far-right
politician in the
Netherlands. He represented the
Centrumpartij and his own
Centrum Democraten political parties in the
Tweede Kamer, the Dutch lower house of
parliament, between 1982 and 1998, when his party lost all of its (three) seats in parliament. Thus, he withdrew from politics. His best known slogans were 'Holland is not an immigration country', 'full=full' and 'we abolish, as soon as we got the possibility and power, the multicultural society', of which he was convicted for the latter two statements.
He advocated among other things the forced removal of all foreigners from the Netherlands. He was repeatedly convicted for discrimination and hate speech.
He died of heart problems at age 67.
