GMTV Grampian

GMTV Grampian is the regional news strand for the North of Scotland provided by Macmillan Media for the Channel 3 (ITV) breakfast station GMTV.

Before December 3, 2007, the regional news during GMTV was provided by the regional ITV franchise holder STV North (formerly Grampian Television), which continues to provide its in-house regional news output (North Tonight/Today) during the broadcasting hours of the ITV Network (9.25am-6.00am).

The ITV plc franchises in England, Wales and Southern Scotland provide the regional news output during GMTV's broadcasting hours (6.00am-9.25am). Macmillian Media also produces GMTV news for the STV Central and UTV franchises. Channel Television produces its own breakfast news bulletins.
