Gérard Charles Édouard Thériault

General Gérard Charles Édouard Thériault, CMM, CD (born Gaspé, Quebec, Canada on June 5, 1932-died October 13, 1998 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) was Chief of the Defence Staff between 1983 and 1986. He retired from the Forces in 1986 and was President of AEG Canada Inc. until 1995. He graduated from Sir George Williams University (now Concordia University) and joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1951 and was a proponent of the unification of the military of Canada.
