Fantastic Fireworks is a
United Kingdom company that stages large-scale
fireworks displays in
Europe and the
Far East. It was founded in 1985 and is based in
Pepperstock,
Hertfordshire.
Awards and Recognitions
Fantastic Fireworks has been recognized for the quality and quantity of their fireworks displays. In 2006, they earned a spot in the
Guinness World Records for a rocket launch in
Plymouth,
Devon that involved 56,645 rockets being set off in thirty seconds. In 1997, it was the first winner of the
British Fireworks Championship.
Fireworks Training School
Fantastic Fireworks setup and runs Britain`s first Fireworks Training School. Offered are courses covering both domestic (Category 3) and professional (Category 4) fireworks.
The Fireworks Training School is an examination centre for the British Pyrotechnists Association's 'Firer's Examination Scheme'. Level 1, for all personnel involved in setting up and firing professional firework displays, and the higher Level 2, for professional firework displays managers and supervisors, exams are both available.
Professional Memberships and Associations
Fantastic Fireworks is a member of the British Pyrotechnists Association (BPA) and the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) Explosives Industry Group.
Rocket Misfire
In November 2007 at a display at
Bristol organised by Bristol Round Table and Clifton Rotary Club in aid of local charities a firework misfired, injuring three people. They were treated for minor burns and grazes. After an investigation by the display contractors Fantastic Fireworks it was established that the spectators, who were not among the main audience, had strayed into the designated fall-out 'no-go' area.
