History

Evershot started off as a Boar pen, around 1100 years ago. Since it had a river running by it (The River Frome) a settlement was built by it, and since then the village has been growing, although its population has dropped.

Later, Summer Lodge was built in 1798. It was originally a Dower house, but in 1893 it was enlarged and much later, in 1979 it was made a Hotel, with guests paying over £10.00 (€13.04 or $20.32).
