Diogenes of Seleuceia
, was an Epicurean
philosopher, who has frequently been confused with Diogenes of Babylon
, who was also a native of Seleucia. He lived at the court of Syria, and on terms of intimacy with king Alexander Balas
, the supposed son of Antiochus Epiphanes
. But he was put to death soon after Alexander was pushed of the throne c. 146 BC.
