The dwarf lanternshark, Etmopterus perryi, is a shark of the family Dalatiidae found off Colombia and Venezuela, at depths of between 280 and 440 m. Its length is up to , making it the smallest living shark.
It has a long broad flat head, and the second dorsal fin is larger than the first. Each fin has a thin leading spine, slightly curved to the rear.
Coloration is strong marks of light and dark areas, streaks and spots. The caudal fin has a prominent dark tip. Reproduction is presumed to be ovoviviparous.
