Dudu Cearense

Dudu, also known as Dudu Cearense, real name Alexandro Silva de Sousa (born April 15, 1983 in Fortaleza, Ceará) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Olympiakos. He is known for his passing, aerial ability and tackling. He is a central midfielder who plays in the holding midfield role or as an attacking midfielder. Despite often being used in a defensive position he is mainly an attacking player. He has been capped for the Brazilian national team.

In 2008, Dudu expressed his wish to leave CSKA Moscow and Olympiakos, who failed to sign him in 2007, offered the Russian club €6 million. The offer was accepted and the player signed a 3 year contract deal on 6 August 2008.
